Handoffs you can see
Ask for something outside an agent's area and it can hand that part to the right agent. Each handoff shows as a card with both agents and its status, and Stop ends handoffs in that conversation.
Solutions · Team AI orchestration
Catalio gives your team and five role-based agents the same living specification of each application, so requirements, design, testing, and changes all start from what was agreed.
For engineering and product leaders running teams of AI agents
One shared spec → people and agents
When every person and every agent works from a private copy of what the system does, nobody can say what was agreed. The work gets done, but it drifts from the rules the business actually runs on.
One living specification your team confirms
Five agents, each writing only in its own area
Approve or Deny before destructive changes
Product Manager, Architect, QA Analyst, Security Analyst, and DevOps all read your catalog. Each creates or changes records only in the areas its role is allowed to write. Open any agent's profile from the chat header.
Ask for something outside an agent's area and it can hand that part to the right agent. Each handoff shows as a card with both agents and its status, and Stop ends handoffs in that conversation.
Developers add Catalio as a remote MCP server in Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or any MCP-compatible client and work from the same specification without leaving their editor.
Context comes from your catalog and your team's knowledge. Destructive changes wait for a person.
Type @ to add a requirement, feature, application, component, or initiative to the conversation. The agent keeps it in mind for the rest of the conversation.
Each agent has a Knowledge tab: Org notes and docs your admins maintain, and Mine for notes only you and the agent see.
Before an agent deletes, unlinks, merges, rewrites PRD sections, or runs a server tool not marked read-only or non-destructive, it asks. You click Approve or Deny.
The same specification carries through gathering requirements, building, and proving what ships behaves as intended.
Extract reads your code, documents, and conversations and drafts the specification. Nothing is final until someone on your team reviews it.
Link test cases to requirements and record each run as Passed, Failed, Skipped, or Blocked, so you can see which requirements have been verified.
What changes when agents share your team's specification instead of each starting cold.

FAQ
No. You ask an agent for what you need. If part of it falls outside that agent's area, the agent starts a handoff to the right one and you stay in the loop. Handoffs stay within your own conversations.
Creates and updates run without asking. Deletes, link removals, merges, PRD section rewrites, and server tools not marked read-only or non-destructive ask first, and you choose Approve or Deny.
An organization admin adds MCP servers in Settings → Connections, and each member signs in with their own account. Agents can then use those tools in chat.
Yes. The same specification is how teams capture what a legacy system does and compare it with the target. See Legacy modernization docs .
